About The Communicator Web
Who We Are
The Communicator is Community High School’s student-run print and online newspaper. Community High opened in Ann Arbor in 1972 and it is one of the original alternative high schools. Our goal is to create a website that shares the interesting stories and work that goes on every day at our school. Learn more about us, please see our policies below. Please contact us via our contact form.
The Communicator Web, being committed to the free expression of ideas, is an open forum for free expression of opinions, through all forms of media. The Communicator Web is student-run and students make all decisions about content. We operate under the guidelines of the National Scholastic Press Association thus we do not practice prior review. The Communicator Web is committed to being a credible news source therefore we confirm all facts before publishing. All multimedia found on our website is of our own creation unless otherwise credited.
Letters to the editors are encouraged and can be sent via our contact form. Signed articles will be accepted with no prior administrative review, as space is available. However, in attaining the highest journalistic standards, The Communicator Web reserves the right to edit submissions. Furthermore, opinions expressed therein are those of the authors and not of this newspaper, Community High School, or Ann Arbor Public Schools. Send letters, comments, questions, suggestions, and submissions via our contact form.
The Communicator Web welcomes advertisements, however, the staff reserves the right to reject, edit, or cancel ads that are judged offensive, inaccurate, misleading, libelous, or that encourage illegal activity.
